Lumindor Reopening Festival Today! La Musique a Sponsor

La Musique is one of the proud sponsors of the Lumindor Reopening Festival. Lumindor is a Renaissance role playing sim which consists of 4 islands -- very well done, beautifully landscaped, and authentic to the period.

Today, Sunday, March 30, for the whole day, LUMINDOR REOPENING FESTIVAL will host several balls, tournaments, bard's story telling, lottery and a fair market.

BrightStone Events on Sunday, March 30th:

~ALL DAY
Fair market in BrightStone with merchants and benches of food. Lord Manitou has apparently even offered his lips to be kissed for a few linden.

~4 PM
Bard story telling - Ainemari Flanagan will sing, dance and enchant you with her storytelling.

~6 PM
Lottery - There will be several items as prizes to be won in the lottery. The lottery itself will start at 8 am. People will have to touch the lottery sign to join the list of participants. At 6 pm there will be the proclamation of winners.

La Musique has a tent up and has contributed a prize to the lottery as well. Proper attire is required, so dust off those tights and ballgowns, and come check it out. Enjoy the festival!

NEW! Easter Egg Hunt & Decorations

Easter Sunday is almost upon us -- one week left!

Easter means many different things to many different people and conversely is celebrated a myriad of ways. For Christians it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. Easter is also linked to the Jewish Passover. For others it brings up visions of Peter Rabbit hopping down the bunny trail passing out easter eggs, chocolate bunnies and marshmellow peeps (my daughter's favorite). For the White House, it means the annual Easter Egg Roll -- a tradition on the White House Lawn since 1878. While for the working class, it means a day off (Ya!) and for the little ones, no school!

I have fond memories of Easter Egg Hunts in my youth, so I've brought it to La Musique. I've placed 7 easter eggs all around the island. Find each one and receive a small monetary award, along with a prize!

In between searching for eggs, come check out the Easter items that are up for sale. We have an adorable easter basket that has two chocolate (yum!) bunnies nestled between colorful eggs and tulips in a finely-craft purple wicker basket. You'll also find some cute stuffed bunnies as well as some easter eggs. All at reasonable prices. Let that special someone know you are thinking of them this holiday!!

However you celebrate Easter, come to La Musique to purchase your easter items or participate in the easter egg hunt.

It's a Madcow Madhouse!

I'm a little late posting this, but I figure better late than never. It's an exhibit not to be missed. Exrex Somme was kind enough to share this with me, so I figured I would return the favor and share it with everyone else at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Callistei/56/88/27/.

For one week, March 8-15, visit and wander through the whimsical, weird and wonderful creations of Madcow Cosmos. His works contain many many prims..and just as much imagination and wonder.

In Madcow's words:
"Included are some of my favorite high prim beauties many of which I've never included in a display yet, so I'm happy to get them out of my inventory and get them some fresh air (and no, I have no idea what that smell in my inventory is from although I assume not everything I made started off as a skeleton).

Having created them for the pure joy of doing so I also hope that you can enjoy them in such an unfettered way. Climb on them, take pictures, engage in lewd acts when no one else is there if you must, but have fun with them! "

Touch the spinning sign at the landing point for the Artist's statement and exhibit list. The centerpiece sculpture may be changed a few times during the week so stop back and see. Madcow will be holding 'Meet the artist' sessions on Monday March 10 at 1 PM SL time for the Euro crowd, and on Friday March 14 at 7 PM SL time. Both sessions will be followed by fireworks.

Callipygian Christensen was kind enough to supply the sim for this wonderful exhibit.

NEW! Photo Booth on La Musique

CREATE A MEMORY

Photo booth stories are part of a lot of people's pasts. Photo booth memories are what most people recall of their past already gone but not forgotten. There is that kind of charm that these wonderful gadgets have in them. It might be because of what they can do. Photo booths can make out instant keepsakes in the form of personal photos. They can capture a moment in time on snapshots that can, time and again, bring back those memories just with a single glance. And the photos make for great keepsakes too. People just can't help but have their photos taken in photo booths. That is its allure.

The emotions a photo booth evokes is what possessed me to put one on La Musique so everyone can enjoy it. And it's absolutely FREE!

Richard Brink was kind enough to help me test out the photo booth. The pictures you see to the left are pictures actually taken in the photo booth! Neat, huh? It has a ton of poses and backgrounds to choose from.

Photo booth memories are worth sharing too! In that regard, I'm going to put up a community billboard so everyone, who wants, can share their pictures as well. Just pass me your photo with every one's name on it and I'll post it for everyone to see. The picture strip has full permissions, so you can even share them with all your friends! One of the other features is that you can hold your photo in-world like so:

You can find the photo booth here on La Musique:

So I bet you are wondering . . .

How does this thing work?

There is not much to it, you sit in the booth and it gives you instructions on how to change the poses and backgrounds.

Does it take pictures?

No, you have to click snapshot and upload it.

What do I do with the filmstrip?

You can put pictures inside the film strip, just drop the textures in the squares.

Can you fit more then two people in there?

There are only two seats, but you can squeeze a few people in. They can stand in the back or sit on a prim and slide themselves in.

Come to La Musique and create new memories!
